This page explains what personal data igors-savins.id.lv processes, why, and what rights you have. The site is a personal portfolio; there is no user account, no newsletter and no advertising of my own.

1. Controller

2. Contact form

When you send a message through the console, the site forwards your name, email address and message text to my private Telegram chat through the Telegram Bot API. The data is stored in that chat and in Telegram’s infrastructure under Telegram’s own privacy policy. Nothing is written to a database on the site.

Purpose: to answer your enquiry (GDPR art. 6(1)(b) — steps prior to a contract — and 6(1)(f), my legitimate interest in replying). Retention: until the enquiry is closed, at most 12 months, after which I delete the message.

The form is rate-limited and protected against bots; the server keeps only an in-memory counter per IP address for ten minutes.

3. Analytics and cookies

The site loads Google Tag Manager and, after your consent, Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which sections are read. Until you press “accept” in the banner, Google Consent Mode keeps all storage denied and no analytics cookies are set. Your choice is remembered in your browser (localStorage) and can be changed at any time with the “cookies” command in the site terminal.

Legal basis: your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)). Processor: Google Ireland Limited; data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.

4. Local preferences

Your language, colour theme and cookie choice are stored in localStorage on your device. They never leave your browser and are not used for tracking.

5. Server logs

The web server records the IP address, requested URL, time and browser string of each request to protect the site against abuse (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)). Logs are kept for 14 days and are not combined with any other data.

6. Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time — write to the email above. You may also complain to the Latvian Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija, dvi.gov.lv).
